Solely supporting Ecolab employees, this program acknowledges that unexpected events and challenges occur that are beyond our control. And sometimes these events can cause financial burden. The Unexpected Hardship Assistance Program provides financial relief to global Ecolab employees through loans and grants to help manage through such times.

Award amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis. Assistance is available in the form of low interest loans or grants for urgent, time-sensitive financial needs resulting from an unplanned event.
To be eligible for assistance through the Ida C. Koran Trust, you must be a current employee of Ecolab or a retiree of Ecolab with at least 12 months of continuous service. Employees from companies acquired by Ecolab are eligible for the Trust’s programs once the acquisition is finalized.
The application form will ask you to upload invoices or expenses related to your unplanned hardship. Additionally, you will need to provide copies of your most recent paycheck and tax information to show financial need.
To apply for assistance through the Ida C. Koran Trust, start by clicking on the APPLY NOW icon. The application portal will ask you to register by creating an account (login & password) and answer eligibility questions. You will then be asked to complete the application fields and upload requested documents. When complete, click the SUBMIT icon so the team can review your request. All information is confidential.
The Trust Committee will review your application & request additional information, as needed.
After application review, the Trust Administrator will notify you as to whether or not your applications has been approved or denied.
