Koran Trust provides academic financial assistance for dependent children of Ecolab employees and retirees seeking to broaden their horizons through post secondary study (undergraduate programs including trade, technical, vocational or traditional university programs).

Solely supporting Ecolab employees, this program acknowledges that unexpected events and challenges occur that are beyond our control. And sometimes these events can cause financial burden. The Unexpected Hardship Assistance Program provides financial relief to global Ecolab employees through loans and grants to help manage through such times.

About Ida C. Koran

Ida Koran was Ecolab's first employee. She worked for Ecolab for 44 years, proof that she strongly believed in the company, its associates and their families. When she died, she left a trust fund to be used to make loans and grants to employees in need. Ida's hard work, foresight, generosity and unwavering faith in Ecolab created a legacy that continues to touch the lives of Ecolab employees and retirees around the world today.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Current global Ecolab employees who have at least 12 months of continuous service with the company
  • Retired Ecolab employees
  • Program support events that occur to the employee, their spouse/partner, and the employee's dependent children

How To Apply:

  • Determine whether you need academic or hardship assistance and fill out the application
  • The review committee will make decisions based on financial need
  • Award recipients will be notified after applications are reviewed and reward amounts determined
